There are two flourishing choirs - a mixed voice choir singing on Nonday & Thursday and a male voice choir, with trebles from Christ Church Cathedral School, singing on Sunday & Tuesday. There are 2 Organ Scholars responsible for the training and conducting of the choirs and Choral Scholarships are awarded. The choirs recently toured Finland and have produced a new CD recording.
The Revd Emma Pennington (since )
The college was founded in 1714 with a benefaction from Sir Thomas Cookes, when 18th century buildings were designed, though some medieval cottages remained from the previous monastic college. On its single site may be seen the work of 4 major architects - Hawksmoor, Wyatt, Keene and Burges. The Chapel building is entirely 18th century, the work of Clarke, Keene and Wyatt. However between 1864 & 1866 the interior was redecorated by William Burges, when every surface from the floor to the ceiling was decorated using all available artistic media.
