Southwark Cathedral Peter Wright’s Retirement

Peter Wright has been Director of Music at Southwark Cathedral since 1989. He was educated at Highgate School, the Royal College of Music and Emmanuel College, Cambridge where he served as organ scholar between 1973 and 1976. He came to Southwark from Guildford Cathedral. Peter was 65 on 6th March this year and has decided to retire. Sunday 14th July 2019 will be his final day of the Choir Term, and in the preceding weeks there will be events to mark his departure. FCM members are invited to a Farewell celebration for Peter at Southwark Cathedral on Sunday 30th June. This is being held jointly with the Friends of Southwark Cathedral.
