CD from the FCM Diamond Jubilee Service Sydney Australia

The Diamond Jubilee service held in St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney on 12th November 2016, and sung by the combined choirs of St Mary’s Cathedral, St Andrew’s Cathedral and St James’s Church, King Street (each of which is a corporate member of FCM) was recorded for a special CD.

Parts of the CD of this historic service (the first ever organised by and for FCM in Australia) were broadcast recently on Sydney’s ‘Fine Music 102.5’ radio programme Hosanna, when FCM member and former Canterbury Cathedral chorister, Richard Munge, (a regular presenter of the Hosanna programme) played two hymns (‘Christ is made the sure foundation’ and ‘O Praise ye the Lord’), Stanford’s setting of Psalm 150, Howells’ ‘Collegium Regale’ Magnificat and June Nixon’s anthem Praise our God with Mirth which had been specially commissioned by FCM in Australia and the three choirs for performance at the service.

David Seward, FCM’s representative in Australia, has remaining (at 22 July 2017) just fifteen copies of the CD’s limited issue of fifty!

Any FCM member who would like to obtain a copy of this historic and unique recording (which shows the high standard of cathedral music in Australia) is asked to contact David by email (dsewardfcm -at- if your email client doesn’t load) to make arrangements for payment and delivery (15 Pounds per copy).
