Could you be an FCM Trustee?

Are you passionate about sustaining our wonderful cathedral music tradition?

Do you have a little time to spare?

Do you have skills in marketing and PR or knowledge/experience of Charity Law and administration?

The Friends of Cathedral Music (FCM) is looking for two new Trustees to join its Council at a time of major change and development:

  • An Honorary Secretary ideally with a background in arts/charity administration and/or a working knowledge of charity law.
  • A marketing and PR specialist, who is able to advise and assist us in raising the profile of the charity and its work.

Council meets three times each year and all trustees serve on at least one committee, meeting twice a year.  Trustees in these two voluntary roles would commit to giving a certain amount of time each week at critical points of the year: the Secretary particularly in the effective functioning of Council, and the Marketing specialist in raising the profile of our grant-giving, fund-raising and membership opportunities.

If you are interested in making a real difference to the future of cathedral music making, FCM would be delighted to hear from you.  Further information about the roles can be obtained from Roger Bishton ( and expressions of interest/applications for each role should be submitted to Peter Allwood ( by 31 December 2018.
