Invitation to apply for grant funding
Applications are invited from choral foundations with significant ethnic minority representation for funding in the region of £4-5,000 over three years for the benefit of young choristers. This funding has been offered to the FCM Diamond Fund for Choristers for the period Sept 2019 to July 2022 by a small trust which specialises in ethnic and cultural integration rather than music but sees cathedral choirs as a suitable environment in which to encourage integration.
Please address applications to email@example.com copied to firstname.lastname@example.org by 7 October with a statement on one side of A4 covering the need, the ethnic composition of choristers at your foundation, how the grant would be spent, and accompanied by a photograph of the current choir or just of the choristers themselves. There is no special form, or format for applications. The trust has previously funded chorister voice training, but there is no bar to submitting applications to cover other activities, the key being to bear in mind the donor’s as well as the foundation’s priorities. The successful bidder will be required to furnish one report a year and to provide occasional publicity material for FCM/DFC social media use.
Bids will be considered by the trust in early November, with its decision to be communicated in early December.
